Sensei Rob Luhrs teaches Tae Kwon Do, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and the Little Spartans class at the Agoge Martial Arts Academy. He has been training in different martial arts since 2001, and has spent the last several years training with Master Greg James and Master Scott Thompson. He is a regular presence at our academy, either teaching or attending nearly every class. Sensei Luhrs was one of the original founders of The Agoge in 2008.
Master Scott Thompson is the Master Instructor of our sister school, Woodbine Martial Arts. Master Thompson has been training for over 25 years in different martial arts, and he was the first to bring Rickson Gracie to Omaha, NE for a seminar in 1993. Since then Master Thompson has continued to train and compete with the best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu players in the world, and he is currently a competitor on the world Brazilian Jiu Jitsu circuit.
Master Greg James is the head instructor at the Agoge Martial Arts Academy. He is a special forces combat veteran, US Navy, with an honorable discharge. He also specializes in military and law enforcement training, and regularly instructs the Secret Service, FBI, Green Beret, Army, Naval Academy, USMC, SWAT, and many local law enforcement agencies. In addition to these responsibilities, Master James is also an undefeated MMA competitor, and currently competes on the World Brazilian Jiu Jitsu circuit.

Sensei Mark Nicholas is a Kajukembo instructor at the Agoge Martial Arts Academy. He has been training under Master James for several years, and is one of the primary instructors at our academy. Along with having served as the Vice President of the Iowa State Judo Club, Mark has trained all over the country, and has specialized training with many Collegiate Wrestling Schools.
Sensei Clint Miller is the Shinkendo instructor at the Agoge Martial Arts Academy. He has been training in martial arts for most of his life. Sensei Clint has been training with the founder of Shinkendo, Obata Kaiso, since 2005.
